The Cultural Arts Centre of Tumaini University Makumira is pleased to announce a professional monthly cultural event known as Usiku wa Msanii starting on Saturday, 22 April 2016 at 08:00-10:00 PM in the newly renovated Assembly Hall on the University campus.
The Cultural Arts Centre is hosting this event with the purpose of educating through entertainment. Local citizens and neighbouring universities students can help support preservation and promotion of culture heritage through this unique concert. Entrance is only 2,000 Tsh for adults and 1,000 for school-age children. The performance will include live music and traditional dances performed by the Cultural Arts Centre Dancers/Musicians on traditional and on modern instruments.
The CAC project is funded in part by a grant from the European Union’s 10th European Development Fund (EDF) support to culture in Tanzania. The Cultural Arts Centre at Makumira is involved in research, training, performance, outreach, and construction of permanent facilities to house the activities of the Centre.
